"GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro College will observe National Day Without Stigma on Monday, Oct. 6. The day is aimed at recognizing and fighting the stigma attached to mental-health issues.
Students have entered an art contest whose winner will be voted on between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. outside Fowler Dining Hall.
The day also will feature "One in Four: Uncovering the Truth About Stigma and Mental Health," an information session and panel discussion featuring volunteers from the Greensboro Mental Health Association, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Campbell Lyceum, 109 Proctor Hall West on campus. The event is free and open to the public.
