Local Craft “Pick-Me-Up” to Serve as
Presenting Sponsor for Dec. 13th Concert Featuring Justin Townes Earle & Caleb Caudle
The Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) is proud to welcome Buck O’Hairen’s Legendary Sunshine on board as Presenting Sponsor for Crossroads @ SECCA #011 featuring Justin Townes Earle and Caleb Caudle.

Sunshine is the first craft “pick-me-up” beverage born and raised in Winston-Salem that has true southern heritage. With nearly 100,000 unit sales in its first year, and distribution to more than 350 locations, Sunshine is quickly gaining traction in the Southeast. The local beverage company is focusing its initial sales and distribution in North Carolina, with a strong emphasis here in Winston-Salem.
Sunshine joins long-time sponsors and supporters Great Outdoor Provision Company, Foothills Brewing and Excalibur Direct Marketing as sponsors for the final concert of the fourth season of SECCA’s critically acclaimed music series.
“The Crossroads audience is no stranger to Sunshine,” said Andy Tennille, curator of the Crossroads series. “We’ve served it at past concerts, so it made a lot of sense to grow our relationship for this concert with this great local brand.”
Crossroads @ SECCA #011 will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:00 p.m. Sunshine, Foothills Brewing’s beer, wine and food from The Porch will be available for purchase beginning at 5 p.m.

About Justin Townes Earle
Once compared to a man who wears many suits, in thirty-two short years, Justin Townes Earle has experienced more than most, both personally and professionally. Between releasing four full-length, critically-acclaimed albums, constant touring, multiple stints in rehab, a new-found sobriety, being born Steve Earle’s son, amicable and not-so-amicable break-ups with record labels, and facing the trials and tribulations of everyday life, it’s safe to say JTE has quite the story to tell. His fifth album (and first ever on Vagrant Records) serves as the perfect platform for such narrations.
Entitled Single Mothers, the album is comprised of ten tracks that showcase exactly why Justin Townes Earle is considered a forefather of contemporary Americana. Comprised of 10 tracks, Absent Fathers was recorded alongside Single Mothers as a double album, but as Justin began to sequence it, he felt each half needed to make its own statement and they took on their own identities. Absent Fathers will be released January 13, 2015.
About Caleb Caudle
In just the last year, Caleb Caudle has played over 300 shows in 30 plus states, performed on the web-radio sensation Daytrotter, and even found time to pack up all of his belongings to make the move from North Carolina to New Orleans and back.
Caudle’s last album, Tobacco Town, brought him national exposure upon its release in 2012, with Blurt Magazine noting “…jaw-droppingly fine songs steeped in classic Earle, Clark, McMurtry and Van Zandt.”
For his new album Paint Another Layer On My Heart, which was written out on the road, Caudle decided to record at Echo Mountain studios in Asheville, NC. Along with his producer and engineer, Jon Ashley (Dawes, Band Of Horses, The Avett Brothers), Caleb manages to craft a beautiful composition of his road-worn songs with some help from Lydia Loveless (harmony vocals), Whit Wright (pedal steel), Jordan Powers (bass), Greg Herndon (piano), Tommy Scifres (guitar), and Jack Foster (drums).
